Grasshopper pie

When I saw this recipe, I knew I had to try it. The colour combination of black with minty green is so pretty and the list of ingredients is so evil I just couldn’t resist.
This recipe, as all wicked recipes I know, is from Nigella Lawson.

300g chocolate biscuits with cream filling
50g dark chocolate
50g unsalted butter

150g white marshmallows
1.25dl full fat milk
60ml (4tbl spoons) crème de menthe
60ml crème de cacao blanc (don’t use brown cacao liqueur, it ruins the beautiful green colour of the pie)
3,75dl cream

1 metal pie form of 25cm

Method of preparation:
Grind the biscuits and chocolate in a kitchen machine, then add the butter and mix it until it sticks together.
Press this mixture into the pie form and place it in the fridge to set.
Melt the marshmallows with milk au bain-marie and mix it together. When the marshmallows have dissolved, take the mixture off the heat.
Stir the crème de menthe and the crème de cacao blanc into the mixture.
Whip the cream until stiff. Mix the cream through the marshmallow mixture. Pour this mixture onto the biscuit base and place in the fridge to set.
